IT’S A GOOD SIGN, No. 5 — Day 662 from our ART EVERY DAY series.
STUDIO TALK
In our interview with hube magazine, we explore our journey with AI in art since 2021, discussing how it influences our process and embracing imperfections inspired by Japanese culture. We highlight the emotional dynamics of working with AI and our unique use of color to create distinct visual experiences. The interview also touches on our daily artistic practices and the balance between control and serendipity in our work. Here is the full interview.
SOURCE OF INSPIRATION
Wabi-Sabi — We're fascinated by the materiality in art—the textures, patina, and history that each piece carries. For instance, the works of artist Isamu Noguchi often reflect Wabi-Sabi principles, embracing organic forms and natural imperfections.
In our creations, we use grain and blur to evoke the transient and imperfect nature of life. We incorporate these elements into our work to highlight the beauty in the imperfect and fleeting.
STEPS OF PROGRESS
We’re super excited to share that we’ve reached 50k followers on Instagram! This milestone has shown us that perseverance and dedication are key to achieving our goals. Our journey has been all about learning through trial and error, often feeling like one step back and two steps forward. It’s not always easy, and it takes a lot of hard work to publish something new every day. However, our "ART EVERY DAY" series has become a way of life for us, pushing us forward faster than any other method we’ve tried before. We hope to keep inspiring ourselves and others with our work. Right now, we’re developing 3-5 individual pieces using a completely new technique. Stay tuned for what’s coming next!
